Hi! I'm Luis Locon 👋🏼, a software engineer with a passion for frontend development and everything related to creating amazing interfaces. I started my career as a full stack developer six years ago, where I developed a deep love for JavaScript and the web. Since then, I've realized that what I enjoy the most is designing user experiences that are attractive, efficient, and most importantly, easy to use.
I'm from Guatemala 🇬🇹, but the web has led me to collaborate with amazing teams around the world, from the USA to Mexico, India, and several places across Central America, working at top companies that have a high global impact. I'm passionate about design, product creation, and I've recently dived into the exciting world of Web3.
I love tackling complex challenges and solving problems in creative ways. I'm always open to sharing knowledge, teaching, and building communities wherever I go.
When I'm not coding, you'll probably find me watching or playing sports (yes, I'm a big fan), enjoying good food (even though I'm not an expert foodie, I like to think I am), or playing with my dog.

In this role, I led the development of user interfaces for a healthcare platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams in the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, and India. One project involved building an innovative product for the healthcare sector, where I drove the adoption of Next.js for integration with health records and medical data. Developed a booking flow that connected women with clinics. Additionally, Integrated Drupal to generate static content, enhancing the overall user experience. Our stack included Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js to deliver scalable and robust solutions.

In this role, I worked on a Lowcode platform for the banking sector, integrating services using Java and developing interfaces that connected the frontend with the backend through Vanilla JS. I successfully integrated and customized services for two banks, tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs. Additionally, I contributed to an ecommerce project, utilizing technologies to visualize 3D models of furniture and other products with Threekit, Shopify, WordPress, and WooCommerce. I developed solutions using React and Threekit SDK, providing an interactive and personalized experience for end users while playing a key role in optimizing processes and enhancing scalability across both platforms.
